Elinor Bautista, RSLP
Ely is a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist (RSLP) with 27 years of
experience specializing in pediatric language intervention. She is a graduate of the
University of the Philippines Manila whose expertise lies in higher-order language skills,
pragmatic language development, and literacy.
Besides clinical practice, Ely is actively involved in the academe as an
instructor and clinical supervisor at the Speech-Language Pathology Department of the
College of Rehabilitation Sciences at UST. She has likewise taken on dedicated
leadership roles within the Philippine Association of Speech Pathologists (PASP),
serving as President from 2018-2019, Member of the Board of Trustees from 2020-
2021, and Chair of Convention Committee for 2024-2025. Expanding her contributions
internationally, Ely is currently affiliated with Asia Pacific Society for Speech,
Language and Hearing as a Membership Officer.
Being an avid lifelong learner, Ely has obtained certification courses such as
PROMPT Training Levels 1 and 2. She has earned a Diploma in Language and Literacy
Education from the University of the Philippines Open University, where she was a
recipient of an Academic Excellence Award and was included in the Chancellor's List.
Ely believes that life is one balancing act. She finds fulfillment in balancing her
professional life with her family, which includes her husband and her two smart and
loving kids.
