Katherine Tiuseco
Chair, Public Relations Committee
Kaye is a double-degree holder, graduating with honors from both the University of the Philippines, Diliman and Manila campuses. With skills from her 1st degree in Speech Communication, she has written and published three books on financial literacy for teens, has edited articles, children's books, and novels for other authors, and was a seasonal columnist to local lifestyle magazines and websites.
During her 1st undergraduate course, she became a member of the renowned UP Concert Chorus, and went on 3 tours spanning Europe, North America, and Oceania. Travel during the crucial years of transitioning into young adulthood immensely enriched her worldview. Journeying in a company of creatives and artists, for 7 months at a time, instilled in her not only discipline, professionalism, and a knack for being performance-ready whatever the circumstance, but also expanded her appreciation for diversity, her competence in diplomacy, and national pride in representing the country.
Before she became a Speech-Language Pathologist, she was already a musical theatre actress, events host, and member of the Ryan Cayabyab Singers.
All of her experiences have contributed to her unique brand of delivering speech therapy services: from being a credentialed vocal coach, to serving her pediatric clientele with energetic, animated, child-led and neurodiversity affirming play, and to having been the pioneer Filipina SLP to bring the profession to mainstream social media with her YouTube channel, "Teacher Kaye Talks." She passionately advocates for the underserved, sharing evidence-based techniques online, to empower her over 70,000 subscribers.
Kaye's creativity shines through her role as a songwriter, now dedicated to crafting original Filipino children's songs, designed as a tool for language acquisition, but also to leave a lasting legacy of our heritage and language for generations to come.
